Vaccination passes

To all players, volunteers, spectators and persons visiting Taranaki bowling clubs:

In accordance with New Zealand law in terms of the COVID-19 Protection Framework (Traffic Light System), all Centre events will be played only at host clubs that have a “My Vaccine Pass Required” policy for their members and visitors. We wish to ensure that all bowlers playing in Taranaki are aware of this. This applies to all interclub events, the upcoming pairs competitions, the Open fours in January and any other tournaments controlled by Bowls Taranaki. Anyone who is not able to present and verify a current My Vaccine Pass in their own name when visiting any club will not be permitted to enter the club and therefore will be unable to compete.

If you have entered a tournament already but do not have a My Vaccine Pass, please contact the Centre office immediately. At a delegates meeting last week, all clubs in attendance agreed that only double vaccinated players will be selected for interclub teams. Note that proof of a negative COVID-19 test prior to visiting a club or having a booking for the 2nd dose is not an acceptable alternative to the My Vaccine Pass requirement.

Once Taranaki clubs have verified their club members, if they would like to confirm their membership list for other bowling clubs to see players have already proven their vaccination status, the Centre can co-ordinate this, so long as the membership is happy to have that information shared to the Centre and other Taranaki clubs.

Host clubs are also aware of their responsibility to ensure that they are checking that all people visiting the site have provided their My Vaccine Pass – this includes spectators, family and all clubs hiring their venues, and any contractor coming on site.
